Vegas Vacation

We all had a great time on our vacation last week, it always seems to go by too fast! We took Aidan to get his 3 month pictures while we were down there but he did not really enjoy all the attention. He was crying and making angry faces in most of them. They did manage to get a couple of good ones though. We also got to take Aidan to Grandpa's office (aka the Tax Cave) for the first time and show him off to everyone there. They thought he was adorable, of course (because he is!). We made a quick visit to Heather and Scott's and I was amazed at how much Brynn has grown in the months since we last saw her! We made one trip down to the strip and now I realize why you don't really see babies down there...we tried to watch the water show at the Bellagio and the music was way too loud for Aidan's little ears. He did enjoy walking around the conservatory and looking at all the beautiful tulips, though. And, my favorite new accessories are the baby hats we found to shield Aidan's face from the burning sun while we were there. Last but not least, we went to the Parade of Homes and Bones and I have found the home we will buy when we move down to Vegas...

Cuz I'm the Baby!

Aidan had many visitors this week...Cousin Jenn and Eric came and we had lots of fun times. Jenn definitely puts Aidan in a great mood, he really enjoyed her attention (and her diaper changes, and her walks, and her kisses). Aidan also had some great talks with Eric about their favorite team, the Boston Red Sox. And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, Uncle Dane stopped by!

Happy Easter

Here are some pictures of Aidan's first Easter Egg hunt. He found some amazing eggs that looked like footballs, soccer balls, baseballs and basketballs! The eggs were full of delicious candy that Mommy ate, leaving none for Aidan or Daddy.

Oh What a Night

On Wednesday Aidan slept all night for the first time ever! We tried to put him down around 10:30 as usual and he fussed a little extra so he probably didn't really go to sleep until 11:30ish. The next thing I knew I woke up and checked the clock and it was 6:30! My first thought was that he must have stopped breathing, but a quick check told me he was still asleep. I really wanted to wake up Bones and tell him the baby was asleep because I was so excited but I resisted since that would ruin Bones' chance to sleep. I felt so rested (and I had to get up at 7 anyway) that I got up and did a few things around the house until Aidan woke up at 7. He certainly woke up refreshed and happy, he gave me a big smile when I went to get him. Now if only he'll sleep that long again sometime soon!

Oops! I Crapped My Pants

Bones, Aidan and I were enjoying reading the comments on our blog this Sunday afternoon between conference sessions when Aidan started to grunt and scrunch up his body. We knew this meant he was trying to poop and we laughed about how hard he was struggling. Finally we heard a small explosion and he relaxed. A few minutes later, however, there was another explosion and this one sounded a little different. Sure enough, we checked and the poop had exploded out of his diaper and up his back, soaking his onesie. We took off his diaper and his clothes and tried to clean him off, but in the end we just had to bathe him because there was so much poop everywhere! (I don't think he got any in his eye, though...we'll have Jenn check when she comes to visit next weekend!)

Future Body Builder

As you can see Aidan is quite the muscle man. He loves to just sit in front of the mirror and flex his muscles. I am going to take him next week to sign up for a gym membership so he can sculpt his muscles the proper way, we have to get him in shape for next year's Iron Man competition.
