Santa Claus is Coming...to the Mall
Over the Thanksgiving weekend my mom and Bryce came with us to the mall and who should we see but Santa Claus! Grandma was kind enough to arrange a meeting and a picture for Aidan, but he was quite wary of Mr. Claus so Bones and I joined him in his picture.

Thanksgiving
Our Thanksgiving was really nice, we had dinner with Bones' family and it was delicious! Aidan got to meet his cousins Asa and Tate for the first time. This is Tate and Aidan together. They are about the same size even though Tate is 5 months old and Aidan is 10 months old. It's a good thing Aidan got a head start! My parents and Bryce also came to visit so we got to see them as well.

Aidan really enjoys playing with Molly's doggie door. He will sit and push it open and let it shut, then do it again. Molly will not go through the door when Aidan is playing with it, so she sometimes gets stuck outside waiting for his game to finish.

Movie trivia - Who said it? Cough, cough - "I think I'm getting the Black Lung, Pop."

Clue: He is really, really, ridiculously good-looking...just like Aidan!

A Special, Limited Time Bonus Offer! Act Now!
I love infomercials. The cheesier the better. Sometimes they even suck me in with their amazing products. But I would never call in and order anything from these TV ads because I just don't trust them and their "special offers". I don't want them to get my information and start sending me mounds of junk mail and calling to sell me more because I succumbed to their tricks once.
However, the world of As Seen on TV products has opened up to me now that they are selling these items in stores (especially Target, my favorite!) And now, thanks to Bones, I have received several of these amazing products for my birthday! I am the proud owner of a Ped Egg, Smooth Away, a pink Snuggie (Snuggie donated some monies to breast cancer research for that one) and, as featured in one of the all-time best infomercials ever, a Magic Bullet! (Yesterday I saw an infomercial for the Magic Bullet's new competition, the Ninja - you must say its name in a whisper in reverence for it's mythical powers. They kept referring to the Magic Bullet as making only "doll-size portions" compared to the larger capacity Ninja and going on and on about the Ninja's ability to turn ice into snow - which is very similar to ground up ice...)
I will be testing all of these items to determine if they really live up to their infomercial claims. Thanks for the hours of fun, Bones!

Worst Birthday Surprise Ever!
I looked out the window and what did I see?
Snow all over the house and street
Fall has brought me such a bad surprise!
Snowflakes falling right before my eyes
I can take a handful and get frostbite
A ball of snow that is so cold
It certainly was so, and it seemed to be
Snowflakes falling right before my eyes

Snakes on a Plane
Halloween Candy
This year was Aidan's first Halloween, as you can see from previous posts Aidan was a monkey. What you have not seen is the consumption of the candy. Aidan has a bowl of candy that he loves to play with. While he was playing with his bowl of candy we decided to give him a taste of the goodies that come from Halloween. (Of course he had to dress for the occasion.) His first taste of chocolate was a Kit Kat. He loved it; he could not get enough of it as you can see.

The Jazz
Bones got tickets to the Jazz game last Friday so Aidan got to go to his first basketball game. It was really fun, there was a Halloween costume contest and there were some great costumes. My favorite were a couple of kids dressed as Lego men, they had the box bodies and the little yellow circle heads. The winners were a couple dressed as Marge and Homer Simpson (they were quite impressive, they had their skin painted yellow and everything) and some kids dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow.
Aidan just kept looking around at everything trying to take it all in. During halftime Bones took him out to walk around a bit since he was getting restless and they met Thurl Bailey and got on TV for a minute! Too bad we weren't home to see it :)
